1. Remove the rear wheels with the tire iron.
2. Unbolt the underside of the strut with a 14mm socket.
3. Unbolt the highest of the strut, using a 14mm socket. It’s situated in the trunk behind the stock carpeting. The strut will then drop to the floor.
4. Remove the strut and set it to the side. Mount the spring compressor to both sides of the spring.
5. Tighten the spring compressor so there’s no pressure on the strut cap.
6. Use the Allen key and place it in the middle of the strut, with a 14mm wrench on the strut cap nut. Flip the nut to loosen it while the Allen wrench is held steady.
7. Take away the cap once the nut is completely loose. Take away the stock spring.
8. Pull off the bumpstop cowl and slide the bumpstop off the strut. Reduce the bumpstop in the middle with a knife.
9. Reinstall the bumpstop and bumpstop cap onto the strut.
10. Place the coilover threaded assembly onto the strut. Thread the adjustable to the center of the threaded assembly.
11. Place the spring onto the coilover seat.
12. Reattach the higher cup and tighten up the nut. The strut is now ready for reinstallation.
13. Once the strut is again in place, put the wheels again on and the rear is done.
